What a wonderful oasis you have here! The drive was beautiful, the sunsets breathtaking, the morning bread and eggs delicious, and best of all the people - engaging, helpful, kind, generous. Thank you, Donrita and Peter for 2 great days here!

Please note: Our farm is a working farm. As we value the safety of our guests we'd rather not host children between the ages of 2 and 12, due to our electric fences, untamed animals and unfenced dams.
Accommodation
We currently have two types of accommodation options. Stand-alone Lavender Cottage and one of three Guest Rooms in our home.
Lavender Cottage is our two bedroom, off-grid, self-contained cottage which overlooks our farm, 360 degrees views extending to the river flats of the Mitchell River to the west, with the Victorian Alps to the north. It can accommodate up to 7 people if the sofa bed is included.
We also love to host guests in our home. We now have three guest rooms - Serene Farm Guest Room, and The Marble Egg Room, both queen bed rooms from where you will enjoy the privacy of your own room with the warmth, and enjoyment of living with our family. Each room has a queen bed for two. We have recently added a third, budget single room - The Budget Room which is a king single bed room, proving popular with those who need to stay a bit longer on business. Ask us about this option.
If you're travelling with a group, you might like to combine options. The maximum number of people we can accommodate at a time is now 10 adults (12 including the cottage sofa bed).

Lavender Cottage
You have a lovely "nook" in a part of Australia that is so underplayed. Thank you for the warmth and welcome. Totally enjoyed the little time we spent here - which wasn't enough really. Will be back. HAPPY NEW YEAR

Arts Estate Retreat's Lavender Cottage, a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle amid spectacular views in the heart of East Gippsland's wine country, is fully self-sustaining. We have set this up with minimal energy requirements following PassivHaus (Passive House) principles - utilising double-glazed windows, insulation everywhere and a long verandah to keep out the hot summer sun. Solar panels and battery supply all the electricity and rainwater from the cottage roof provides all your water. Situated on our permaculture-focused farm property, you are sure to leave refreshed and restored. Perfect for couples & families with older children.
Enjoy our complimentary home baked bread and our own jams & eggs while breakfasting on your own verandah, gazing at our rolling hills and across Lindenow valley. The cottage is 350m from the main house, totally self-contained, off grid and all-abilities accessible.

We invite guests to stroll around the farm and gardens, pick fruit from our orchard and collect their own eggs. See our lawn-mowing guinea pigs and befriend our delightful resident border collie, "Spring". Electric fences, dams and farm animals make this unsuitable for small children.
Bring your bicycle and explore the local rail trails or hire our "shearing shed" entertainment space for your function.

Serene Farm Guest Room
Enjoy breakfast from the rose garden deck overlooking the cattle lazing on the rolling hills of our pastures. Explore our 115 acres, help pick our veggies, collect eggs from our chickens or just relax with a book. Maybe catch us rehearsing music.
We are developing a sustainable lifestyle with permaculture principles and welcome visitors to our farm-sanctuary. Whether you prefer to get away from the hustle and retreat into the serenity of our place or need a base to call home while enjoying the local sights and experiences of East Gippsland with it lakes, rail trails, caves and wineries, you are welcome to make our place your cultural sanctuary.
We have a private room available in our home with a queen bed and some basic wardrobe space. There is a shared bathroom with shower, vanity and bath. The family kitchen is also shared. You are welcome to sit back and relax on our deck or front verandah and watch the roses grow and the birds nestle in the local flora. You are welcome to prepare yourself breakfast in our kitchen - we will make a breakfast basket available to you. We can recommend local "eat out" destinations for you or you may prefer to bring your own ingredients (supplemented with produce from our veggie garden) to cook your own evening meal in our kitchen. SEE THE 360 DEGREE VIEW OF THE SERENE FARM ROOM HERE
We are happy to give you tips of where to go and what to see to suit your needs while you stay with us. You may even wish to hire one of our push bikes and explore the rail trail. Or perhaps you will prefer to stay on the farm and just explore our 115 acres of paddocks, vegetable garden and orchard with our free range chickens. We are musicians (though most of the real musicians seem to have found their way to other duties away from the farm). You might want to have a look at our unique "shearing shed music studio" or have your own private function by hiring our "shed function space" during your stay.

Take in 115 acres of rolling hills with views. Plenty of spaces to sit and relax. Or use our place as a base to go see the local sights, explore East Gippsland delights or rest on your way through. We provide a country breakfast and the space. You provide the book to read. The bathroom is separate to ours but you may be sharing it if we happen to have other guests.
